What is Spiritual Companionship?
Spiritual Companionship, otherwise known as Spiritual Direction, is time shared one-on-one between a trained Spiritual Director and a Directee for the purposes of helping the Directee acknowledge, understand, and honor the spiritual dimension of her/his own life. Spiritual Companionship is not therapy or counseling, but rather a sacred space for awareness, discernment, and spiritual growth.

Reasons to Seek Spiritual Companionship
Spiritual Companionship is open to everyone. The reasons to engage in such are as vast and diverse as people themselves. Yet, the common reason to seek Spiritual Companionship is to nurture one’s connection with what is Ultimate.
You may be interested in Spiritual Companionship if:

The Process
The Intention of Spiritual Companionship is to foster awareness, discernment, and openness that leads to a more soul-centered life.

Awareness
Kim's Role will be to:

Create Space for Listening.

Facilitate the Practice.

Offer Prompts that help move you from head to heart/soul listening.
In your time together, you will be invited to engage in deep listening practices that will help you hear your own inner teacher (i.e., the truest and deepest part of yourself), and become more aware of the Divine Presence that is your constant companion everywhere and in every moment.
Discernment
Kim's Role will be to:

Reflect to you (i.e., mirror), things that you have shared.

Notice and name emerging themes.

Offer open and generous questions that may help you gain greater awareness.
Through deep listening practices, you will have an opportunity to reflect on what is emerging. Kim will help you seek wisdom and guidance based on the possible ways that the Divine/God is moving in your life, as well as the ways that your life itself may be speaking to you (i.e., noticing patterns, strengths, fears, longings, connections, callings, recurrent themes, etc.).
Openness
Kim's Role will be to:

Suggest or Recognize a Question to hold.

Offer Spiritual Practices to try.

Recommend Resources (i.e., books, articles, podcasts, etc.) to explore.
As you gain awareness, you will be invited to ask how what is coming up for you applies to your life right now. Is there something you are learning? Is there an action you are being called to? Is there a question you would like to hold? Is there something you want to explore further?

Kim's Role
My role as a Spiritual Companion is to travel with you. I am here to create and facilitate a space for you to engage in practices that foster awareness, discernment, and openness, as well as to offer support and guidance along the way. I will not have answers for you, but I will walk alongside you as you seek to hear and honor the movement between the Divine presence and the direction and call of your own soul.
